For me, I gotta give the nod to Dave Weckl and Anthony Jackson. Anybody who has the Steve Khan Trio in Sweden bootleg knows what I'm talking about.

Taking nothing away from Vinnie because he will always be my favorite drummer.

But,the way that Dave and Anthony play and feed off each other is amazing!

In fact Anthony Jackson is in 3 of my favourite rhythm sections:

Gadd/Jackson with Al Di Meola
Weckl/Jackson with Michel Camilo
El Negro/Jackson with Michel Camilo

He seems to be the perfect groove match for many drummers. We don't see that to often.

I saw Steve Khan's Eyewitness in NYC with A. Jackson and (not Weckl but) Chambers on drums. DEEEEEP pocket [img]cool.gif[/img] .

And I saw a recent picture of Anthony Jackson...he melted. What happened to him? He must have lost 200 lbs from when I saw him live (he needed to chairs wide to sit). Was it because of a health problem? Anyway, he probably feels much better now.

I am also interested in this Sweden bootleg! Does anyone want to trade something for it?? That Public Access CD is one of my favorite Weckl recordings, and I imagine a live boot would be most amazing!
